About us
The department is a dynamic and growing community of scholars with an emphasis on research-oriented teaching and is active in most of the dimensions of electrical engineering. Apart from academics, R&D, consultancy, continuing education programmes and administrative responsibilities, the faculty participates in many interdisciplinary activities for the perpetual enhancement of teaching skills. The department faculty regularly contributes to conferences and journals at The National and International levels for the sake of upgrading knowledge in the respective fields. The graduates of the department venture out for a wide range of organizations including reputed MNC's (Adani Power, TCS, Infosys Ltd. C&G, etc.), PSU's (PGCIL, BHEL, BARC, etc.), Armed Forces and Indian Engineering Services (IES). The students are also successfully seeking admissions in reputed universities all around the world for further studies and global exposure.

VISION
To develop globally competent, socially responsible, innovative engineers to excel in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
MISSION
M1 :To provide quality education through qualified faculty and state of the art technologies to meet up the growing industrial challenges.
M2 :To inspire students for innovation and research with a practical approach through expert lectures, workshops and industrial visits.

Programme Educational Objective (PEOs)
PEO 1: To prepare the Electrical and Electronics Engineering graduates to work in industry, government or other organizations in different capacities involving individual and team work.
PEO 2: To inculcate among the students the sense of ethics, morality, creativity, leadership, professionalism, self-confidence and independent thinking.
PEO 3: To prepare the Electrical and Electronics engineering graduates to pursue higher studies or research or become an entrepreneur.
PEO 4: To prepare students for adaptive learning with real world technological changes.
Programme Specific Outcomes (PSOs)
PSO1 Apply the fundamentals of mathematics, science and engineering knowledge to identify, formulate, design and investigate complex engineering problems of Electrical Circuits, Electrical Machines, Analog & Digital Circuits, Electrical & Electronic Instruments, Power System, and Power Electronics.
PSO2 Provide effective and efficient real time solutions to Electrical Engineering problems based on acquired knowledge so as to empower industry and society.
PSO3 To develop he ability to plan and execute electrical projects, develops innovative solution using an entrepreneurial mind set.
Programme Outcomes (POs)
Engineering Graduates will be able to:
1. Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, reviewer search literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
3. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
5. Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex Engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
6. The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
7. Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
8. Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practices.
9. Individual and teamwork: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
10. Communication: Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.
11. Project management and finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply these to one’ s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.
