About us:
Department of Civil Engineering started functioning from the year 2009, with an intake of 60 students. Experience and qualified faculties having expertise in different civil engineering fields, facilities as per the requirements of the course curriculum of the affiliating University and Labs as per recent industry lookouts are the features of the department.
The Department ensures that students are updated to ever changing requirements of engineers by means of different activities like Expert Lectures, Field Visits, Alumni Talk, Seminars/Webinars and Group Discussions.
HoD's Message:
Among all engineering specialties, Civil Engineering is the most widely used and historical branch of Engineering. Planning, designing, and constructing infrastructure, such as roads, bridges, flyovers, buildings, dams, canals, water supply and sanitation systems, and many more, are the expected competencies of a certified civil engineer. India, a developing nation with one of the fastest growing economies, offers a plethora of opportunities for civil engineers. Graduates earning a B.Tech in Civil Engineering have the best pay opportunities working in the public and private sectors of government.

- Mission-I: To give students a general environment that will shape their desire for a successful career in industry and research and inspire them to pursue higher education.
- Mission-II: To develop moral and ethical principles in its students in order to shape them into socially conscious engineers.
- Mission-III: To prepare highly qualified and talented engineers to become proficient infrastructural engineers by exposing them to the newest and most cutting-edge techniques and technologies in civil engineering..
Program Educational Objectives (PEOs):
The Program/Course focuses on enhancing the following key attributes among the graduating students:-
PEO-I: Able to apply the concept of mathematics, science and computing to civil engineering.
PEO-II: Able to design and develop interdisciplinary and innovative solutions to civil engineering.
PEO-III: Able to inculcate effective communication skills, team work, ethics, leadership in preparation for a successful career in government, academia, industry and R&D organizations.
Program Specific Outcomes (PSO):
PSO-I: Graduates will be able to use their technical expertise in construction management, waste management, environmental engineering, and housing for a sustainable environment.
PSO-II: Graduates will be able to use contemporary civil engineering tools ethically to start their own business and contribute creatively to the process of developing infrastructure.
